How Chi Affects Both Health & Wealth
- For more than 20 centuries, the Chinese has used the concept of healing diseases by balancing and unblocking the “chi” energy in the body (see how chi machine works). Balancing your body’s chi and improving its flow are the main “treatment” in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) for all diseases, which is widely practice in China, South East Asia and Chinese communities worldwide.
- Many western doctors are skeptical about its effectiveness and question if such a thing, which science could not observe could prove effective in healing people from sicknesses. In fact, to the untrained eye, demonstrations of the power of chi in self-defense and its healing power on patients are often regarded as quackery.
- However, in recent years, western medicine, through research, has come to understand chi as a form of bioelectricity that circulates through the body. This bioelectricity is present in each individual cell in the body. To avoid disease and cellular malfunction, the body’s bioelectricity must circulate properly and exist at a sufficient level. (see Research)
- However, the Chinese concept of chi goes beyond bodily chi. Most Chinese people believe that two fundamental forces of chi – visually represented in the yin/yang symbol – govern the universe. These two forces represent active and passive; male and female; strong and weak; cold and hot; black and white, etc.
A common depiction of the forces of Yin and Yang.
- Every situation is governed by the interaction of these two opposing chi forces, which flow throughout the universe “positively” or “negatively” affecting every corner of your life – from your health to wealth. In order to achieve wealth and health, these two forces must be balanced. The imbalance of these two forces in one’s life will result in worsening health and bad fortune.
The flow of chi is best observed in themovement of swimming fishes.
- So, the Chinese philosophical theme for successful living is the cultivation of harmonious (balanced) relationships with people, nature, the universe and oneself. This will bring about sufficient amount of good Chi (the positive energy) both within you and outside you (now you know why wealthy Chinese homes keep goldfishes!). Its practical and behavioral emphasis is on compassion, moderation, humility and patience.
- To the Chinese people, these values are the prescriptions for good health, longevity and prosperity.
- Many aspects of Chinese culture have their roots in the concept of Chi. This includes martial arts, literature, feng shui, astrology, culinary discipline, business practices and Chinese medical practices, in which the word Chi is used constantly.
Harnessing the power of chi for self-defense. This chi canalso be harnessed for defense against diseases.
- Therefore, well-being is a result of one’s attitude and behaviour towards his environment and his inner being.
- However, most people tend to focus on external “wellness”, such as financial success and achieving certain status or grades to the detriment of their health. They totally forgot about their inner well being. In their attempt to achieve success, they have ignored their inner chi.
- This is why HTE’s created a range of products to benefit those who do not have the luxury of time and who might be too tired to motivate themselves to cultivate this inner chi. These machines require little or no physical activity in order to restore or achieve the health which comes from a smooth flow of bodily chi.
- The idea of chi in both physical and mental healing has been receiving more and more acceptance among westerners (see testimonials) and should not be discounted as an alternative treatment for sicknesses.
